One easy trick that just about anybody can do to enhance a wonderful variety of flavor to their meals is to prepare your foods using fresh herbs.  Remarkably, fresh herbs are very simple to grow right in your own yard, flower bed, plant container, or even on your windowsill.

An herb is described as a type of plant that is used for culinary purposes, fragrances, or medicinal purposes.  In the culinary world, an herb usually refers to the flowering or leafy green part of the plant.  Herbs are pretty easy to grow, even for the inexperienced gardener.  Herbs are also pretty hardy plants once they have become established.

Whether you are an experienced gardener, a novice, or somewhere in between, there may be some ideas of “shortcuts” or creative ideas that you may not have thought of before that can be resources for your gardening plans.  Below are several ideas that may be useful to you as the growing season approaches us.

If you are planning to grow flowers, herbs, or vegetables from seeds, you will need small containers to place the seeds in to begin the growing process.  Home supply stores have a variety of container choices for you to purchase; however, another idea is to use egg shells.  Egg shells are the perfect size in which to place a bit of dirt and your plant seeds.  They also come in their own egg containers, which will provide for a handy storage place.
